I agree with you. Those days are gone here in my small neck of the woods in SC. I know of new abstractors who are trying to steal clients from all of their fellow abstractors. Some of us still work closely together and would never go after another abstractor's clients. But, there are those who have said to me they do not care about stepping on any toes. Those people are the ones who will make fast money and give the industry a bad name. The ethical abstractors will be the ones left trying to correct the problems created by those fast and cheap abstractors.
Are the abstractors to blame or is it the greedy client who wants faster production at a cheaper price. Quality work has become old fashioned. Sad.
