It is very expensive, about 2000 a year or more. It is not required and I see no way they could win a lawsuit as all you do is work with public information. Since it is public,even if you were hacked, what liability could there be? The push is coming from underwriters who would be liable if money was stolen from a policy issuing agent and the agent does not have deep enough pockets to cover the loss. Hope this helps.
