It was, and is, our intention to get as many people looking at your listings as possible.  Requiring them to register their company serves as a deterrent to using our directory and would limit the exposure of everyone listed.

In some cases, the person actually responsible for recruiting abstractors may not have the authority to list their company.  It may be that someone else has already listed the company, but there are others within the company that need the directory.  Therefore you can't require them to add a listing, or you would have duplicates.
