Kudos to you and your staff for standing tall in the face of adversity! As the owner of an abstract company, I can absolutely relate to what you went through and could not have agreed with your course of action more!!!!
However, as an owner of four title companies, my only question to you is (which I have actually had to question my own abstract company over) is, don't you normally check the recording/tax fees, legibility of the legal, that signatures are complete and all notarization are in order? I guess my thought is, pre-recording audits take some time initially, however, provide sound service and decreases the level of duplicate work being done. Just a thought based on experience........J.T.
