GAC put out their own online system the last couple of months ago. I was introduced to the company when a title company asked them to sign me up so they could send orders through the Gator system to me. They had me sign a Preferred Vendor agreement at the end of 2004 You are suppose to get 90% of the work - and at that if they are doing them mostly online what does 90% of the work entail. I was getting less orders than a normal vendor and having to type searches online. I thank the person that posted your # would be 99 if you were preferred - I mentioned the number it was showing and they said you are getting what you are suppose to. I believe they were being dishonest with several people. One search I asked for a social security # because of the extensive judgments - they said the bank would not give it out - so I had to abstract all the judgments - that information was given to me about 2:00 my time in another county I was doing other searches for them. Next morning I was asked to send the search in within 15 minutes or it would be cancelled - and she was very rude and raised her voice like this was my fault - I said their was no way that I could have it in 15 minutes - I couldn't even get to the office much less have it typed in - I called the supervisor and told him about the conversation and he said just charge us a cancellation fee. Anyway they totally cut me off for that as a vendor. For some reason they think they could break a contract for that - and I'm sure it is because other abstractors do not pursue legal remedies when things are done wrong to them. But I am taking the time to do something about it. I truly believe that they were having more than one person signe Preferred Vendor agreements
