Here is what I know about Value America.  Value America was started about 10 years ago by the people who originally started Lenders Service about 25 years ago.  Most of you would not even remember the original Lenders Service.

In the past few years their focus has been setting up Joint Venture companies.  They set up a company that is in actuality, a vendor management company that is owned by a Lending institution.  ATM (also former Lenders Employees) has been doing this for years.  ie Chesapeake, Home Connects, SecoLink.

They are honest people so I don't think that they would abuse your credit card info.   However they are in business to make money.  This is a way for them to make money.  Their premise is that if you give them $100 they will put you on their preferred vendor list, that is given to their people & also the joint venture companies that they have set up.  They  do not guarantee that you will get work, just that you are on there preferred list. 

Some abstractors may benefit from this & some may not.  But you can be sure that Value America will benefit.  And they are not thinking "How Can We Help the Abstractors".  You have to make your own decisions about this.  I also received a call & a fax but have declined.  My opinion, you can do just as well taking that $100 and doing marketing on your own.
