I believe you should go to the press Donna. It is neccessary to inform the communtiy so they can protect themselves. The gentleman who has become a victim of this scam will likely not want to believe he has been taken. He may stop making payments on his mortgage since he thinks the matter has been taken care of by Heineman. He could, in fact lose his home. I think I would also notify the lender whose mortgage was "released". They may not know there is a problem until the victim stops making payments. If they are notified now they might be able to help explain to the victim.

But this brings something else up as well. I've seen a lot of these quit claim deeds to Heineman but I haven't seen anything that puts the property back into the control of the homeowner.
