I have been using a portable scanner (found on ebay for $35), a datacard (uses cell phone service to link to the internet, $80/mo.) and my laptop. I run all my searches directly from the county office and almost never use my fax. My clients get their orders back in less then 8 hours usually. A true mobile office.
