I understand everyone's point of view. I'm just saying if we all stayed in the ballpark, charging a FAIR price and not selling our souls to a greedy client, they wouldn't have a choice. There is profit and there is greed, on both parts at times. Some clients are taking advantage of the title searcher and are making a killing and we get the scraps. That is pure greed. If you walk away from making a deal and you feel like you've been had, that ain't good. Also, there are clients from India who pay a fair price and always pay on time. My whole point was for all of us to stay in the ballpark. Some companies don't want to pay for copies at all. So a current owner with copies included can end up with almost no profit. As I stated in my first email, unless it's a matter of pure survival. If you cannot survive without taking that client, then of course you have no choice. But if you can survive, I say let's stay in the present and not charge 1990 prices. Thanks for y'all's input.
