Maryland is also a "race" state. I agree that we should let our companies know when we will be going out of town for vacation but I do not agree that title companies call and let the abstractor know that they are sending a document to be recorded. I have owned my own abstracting business for more than 8 years and I have never taken more than 2 days off at one time. I like those long weekends when I can take a Friday off.
90% of the title companies that I do work for DO NOT call me and tell me that they are sending a doc for recording. They just overnight them to me and I record them as fast as possible.
If I am sick or I decide that I want to take a Friday off to enjoy a 3 day weekend, I do not tell anyone. As long as I have my work caught up, it is none of their business what I do or where I go. And if I get a recording Friday while I am out, I will do it Monday.
People can post all day long if they want to. Most of us here at SOT are like family now and we do not tolerate people who talk vulgar. That is not professional. We like to vent and we agree to disagree with each other some of the time. We respect each others opinion, when posted the right way.
