Do you get calls from individuals too or just companies?  I cannot imagine the ease you must have once you get to each of those 250 separate sets of records - that is an average of 2,400 individuals per set of land records.  Two of the counties I service, Dallas and Tarrant, had populations of 2,300,000 and 1,500,000 respectively in 2003 census records.  You can understand why it is mandatory that our assignments, releases etc have to have legals attached to them to find them in these counties.  A bank to bank search per year would yield thousand and thousands of records per year.  I guess the difference between when some of you say - hey that person had this order from my company suprised me that you all didn't think they use multiple people - maybe it is different from the smaller land record counties to the larger - for me I have no doubt the companies that use me use several of us.  I just watch whether or not I'm getting the bulk of it if my agreement is to be #1 vendor.  Here it would be more of an allocation process in their computers - like #1 gets first 20 orders of the day, #2 gets next so many orders that day, #3 etc and it repeats itself the next day and also when you return them.  The only thing about that is that with computers they can't be like humans and know how the orders were sent like 19 were in 1 county and 1 was in another.  Well we may go do those 19 and wait to do the 1 until we get orders for that county from them again or from other companies.  That will hold up getting more orders from the first company because it will show that orders are not back and they THINK you are overloaded and hold back a few days when in truth and fact it's you don't have enough.  I have figured that one out myself - so sometimes it is better to bite the dust and go do that one order in that outer county. And if you get update status and you sent in the orders like the week before you better call and get it cleared up about where the orders are because they will put you on hold status inbetween.  They have too many vendors across the US to give individual attention to status checks unless you make sure you are putting yourself on that phone making them.  There have been employees who say they have been too swamped to note all the orders as received when they come in so I write an email with bcc to the supervisor and it gets cleared up real quick.  I'm not going to lose a week of orders because of the other end - that is not being ugly, that is protecting the integrity of your own business.  If you all didn't know all of this, I'm glad I could help out - as long as you are not in Texas and in my counties - lol   While I'm at it - Robert you need a better Open-Mouthed Teeth Smile - they have a great one on SBC and AOL - can you steal it - lol?  It shows a much better bigger smile - gets the point across with more impact!
