I caution anyone just using the legal in any state to complete a search - you are assuming that all documents contain the legal description.  While assignments and releases are suppose to contain these items many times they do not and they should always be cross-checked by grantor/grantee.  This is one of the many problems associated with on-line searching that legals cannot be run online - a feature in which many of us catch the documents with misindexed spellings of the names, etc but equally important is cross-referencing by the grantor/grantee list for documents that have left the legal descriptions out either by error or otherwise.  Not utilizing one or the other in doing a title search can be dangerous.... and in ALL instances judgments are never filed with a legal attached as the attach to all legals of the named person.
