In Texas, in my counties we don't have any morginal notations.  Everything has to be looked up one by one.  Some of that is helped by running the legal after the name but cannot depend on it because some don't have legal descriptions and assignments/releases in most counties are not listed under the name of the people who took the loan but bank to bank except in the last couple of years.  So maybe that is why I think some pricing is ridiculous for my state.
