Some people just want copies of the Plat of the subdivision that some piece of property is in. They are located in real property records. You should have background in legal real estate before attempting to research these types of things - unless they give you a specific volume/page. These are 17x24 size and usually have to be mailed and range from 6-10 per plat copy costs. I think this is what you are referring to. What is CCR - is that certified copy retrievals. That is the same as a copy of a document from the clerk's office however it has to be certified by the clerk and they usually will have to print it too - that is the only way they will certify it. Sometimes they want certified copies of plats also - but some of my counties automatically certify plats for the same cost of the plat. Hope that helps.
