I try to give all companies the benefit of the doubt. I have now decided that 45 days is sufficient to pay an invoice. I will call the company after 45 days of invoice and not complete any work after 45 days until invoice is paid. I will not "hold" any work, I do not think that is fair, either. I will call them and ask them to reassign the search or overnight me a check. If we held searches for 45 days, they will have dropped us after the 3rd day and found someone else. What gives these companies the right to do this? Nevermind, I allowed it to happen.
