Regarding all the posts below, I guess I based my questioning on what I know about the records here in Texas.  In every situation but one they are not reliable online and the one that has the same records - in order to make it that way, they took our capability to search by legal out at the courthouse level to accommodate saying "official public records" which has led some abstractors to refusing to search anything in that county altogether, on or off line because too much liability in missing documents if you cannot cross-check your searches.  You have to understand in this state that is the only way that you have to search for bank to bank records - or you have to go through 5,000 - per bank to find them - now are you going to do that for 50.00 or worse than that a retrieval fee?
