Thank you Jay! This is the first time I have seen you or NALTEA come out in favor of a return to a true search of the public records at the county level. As abstractors, we can only provide reports that are as accurate and complete as the source. Online sites disclaim accuracy, usefulness, timeliness and completeness in their disclaimers, privacy statements, and user agreements.

Many of our clients have requested we not use online sources, calling them  unacceptible. An abstractor whose souce is the Internet should state this in his reports and make no claim to accuracy, completeness or timeliness that goes beyond the claim of the source.
