There was a posting on one of the notary boards by someone purporting to be a signing service. It seems that they have to subscribe to the site. She indicated that she attempted to subscribe, but was rejected because they thought she was a notary signing agent rather than a signing service. There appears to be some substance to the claim. The site is allegedly open to signing services and title companies only. Apparently notaries are denied access, and have no recourse to the claims posted therein. In so far as abstractors are concerned there is nothing to stop a similar site.
