The best advice is to wait until someone is hiring and willing to bring someone on with no experience. Good luck and wait in line.
The abstracting profession is just like appraisers and mortgage companies, they are a dime a dozen now.
I wish I could have had better news for you. I get calls from people all of the time, I won't even entertain the thought of training someone else. I did that once and she I lost about 4 clients for a short period of time because she undercut my fees. But then they realized what an inexperienced person she really was and they started calling me again. It takes years for someone to gain the experience they need to go out on their own.
