If I recall there was an interesting article on the ALTA website back in October, November or December. You can pull it up from the archives. It addressed RESPA and markups charged by title companies and lenders. I believe it concerned a ruling of the U S Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. You might find its contents interesting.
