I have been to the battlefield, but have not yet seen one of the re enactments. I here it is really something to behold. From what I understand the participants take the authenticity very seriously. I have heard that they adopt the identity of a unit and thoroughly research its history. Some adopt the identities of units on both sides so that at one re enactment they portray a Northern Unit, but at another re enactment they would portray a Southern unit.

I was at one re enactment where one of the units on the Northern side wore daek green uniforms. Anyone out there have any idea of which unit they were supposed to be...just kind of curious.
