I saw both Gods and Generals and Gettysburg..both were great. I have also been to the museum at Gettysburg where they recreated the battle on an electronic map. The History Channel had a show recently on the weapons developed by the North and South. The South had manufactured this really interesting pistol called a LeMat. It held nine cap and ball rounds and had twin barrels one of which was fitted for a shot gun shell. When the nine pistol rounds were exhausted, there was a second firing pin that set off the shotgun shell.
