I am not a important person to your world, so you would not know who i am.  Your attitude is "my way or no way"  Your very defensive about what your doing and saying! Be positive, always be positive.
How long before the conference did the board receive and approve the certification test?  I am not faulting your 15 years (how old are you) nor the 100 years experience of others on YOUR committee. 
I think (my opinion) that an outside group should be doing the certification.
