I agreed to it because even if they pay in 30 days the mail can take a few days and I wouldn't cease doing work for a client until 45 days anyway.  I have always allowed that extra time anyway.  I just informed then that there would be no grace period - if the check isn't here in 45 days - no more work.

60-90-120 is completely unacceptable.  I would never agree to work with a company that actually "planned" on paying that late every month.  I'm not in the credit business.
