I really have some difficulty understanding the rationale for not making timely payment. If the shoe were on the other foot, and the abstractor came in late with a title abstract, he would have deductions taken from his fee or be cancelled in about two seconds. I recently a title company who was late with payment tell me that 60 days from the date of the invoice had not even passed yet. (What's the rush?)
