I have a friend in another state that does criminal checks. She said that she ran a check on someone for a job reference and found something. Turns out it was not him and he was trying to sue her because he did not get the job. I never asked her the outcome but she is still working.
I just had to order a judgment check on me. Cost $47.00 and all 42 of us had to order from the same NC service. It costs more if you have lived in other states. So when they contract with my friend to do my criminal check, she will get a kick out of it and not much else based on the cost of $47.00 (her cut might be $5.00 or less). I was surprised that the cost to me was so low. I wouldn't do criminal searches.
