I call my client and say - I didn't find a D/T that looks like it should exist somewhere because I am coming up with assignments that it references. The city in which this address exists also is in another county - would you like for me to see if it was improperly filed in other county. If so, I separate the county searches into 2 owner search forms showing each county searched in large print at top of page and I charge 2 search fees too - one for each county because you actually very well may come across more judgments, etc in the wrong county or if a main county that I'm going to anyway, at least a second fee of 1/2 the original search fee - all to my discretion as to what counties it entails because you could have to go to the other county you don't have any other work in if it is a po-dunk county.
