It is really a "niche" job.  There are so many fields you need to be able to cover accurately.  My husband said to hire a secretary to answer the phone (I have a machine), or a temp to type (so I don't have to work again after my daughter goes to bed). It's just not "typing" though, you have to have a knowledge of what you're putting together to make it work.  There is so much to know.
