Your point is well taken, and I appreciate your attempt to open a dialogue with us. I would welcome input from other title companies and VM's as well. 

The reason that many abstractors are spread thin is because they need to take additional assignments or increase their coverage patterns to offset declining volume and prices. The root of the problem is not with them taking too much work, but rather failing to offer them a decent price for their work. I am sure that they would much prefer to limit their travel to a smaller area and to devote greater time and care to fewer searches in a single day.
