I agree.  I would NEVER sign up for a service that required me to do MORE work and pay for the privilege.  It would be different if the service added any benefits for me; if it made my process more efficient and saved me time.  This system seems to ADD more to my workload.  Now not only does the abstractor have to type in EVERYTHING, including what could be 5 pages of legal description, but there is no extra compensation.

The idea of charging a fee to get the work is ridiculous.  If the clients want us to do this, they should not only pay the fee - they should be paying us extra to do all of THIER typing.  It is a great deal for everyone EXCEPT the abstractors.

I just don't understand where this idea ever came from, or who in their right mind would ever agree to pay the fees.
