You mean to tell me that assignments, releases and satisfactions of mortgages in Texas are only indexed on the banks' names, and not the mortgagor!?

Good Lord, how do you all ever find them?  I guess we have it easy in PA, as such instruments are indexed by mortgagor as well.  I know if I go to any given county and plug in the name, "Chase Manhattan Mortgage", I'm going to get literally hundreds of entries.

You ought to be charging double for those searches, if you ask me.  It takes time to do the job right.  Our time is valuable, and clients should be made to understand this.  We can't just wave our "magic abstract wands" and produce a search out of thin air.
