Another possible shortcut is to hit the # key or whatever key it tells you to hit after inputting your info.  But don't enter your info, just hit the specified key.  It may come back several times and say it doesn't understand, but eventually it will internally error and send you to a real person.  Probably the wrong one, but one that will react independently (hopefully) :^)
