Wouldn't you hate to be some companies' E&O insurer?  Seems greed got the best of some and it is going to come back and bite them in the A**.  I do have some clients that have decided not to be the all-inclusive vendor management company and abstractor all rolled into one and hopefully that business built on the steady and smart foundation of bricks and mortar instead of fast rising sticks will pay off for them in the end.  If any lending institution wants me to run a example mort/assign report for them directly, I would be happy to as I am sure many abstractors would.
