Well, the company that I know doesn't let the abstractors know who the clients are - they only let the office help know to deal with the customers and the office help is not trained to abstract. That helps a bunch. Special instructions are put on individual orders so the abstractors can do the work as the client wishes. As far as taking the original order to the courthouse - I don't only do it for myself, I do it for my client - to protect their clients and their confidences. I think we owe them that. For my own sake, I do it because there are a couple of people that are as qualified as I am - not many but a few - lol! And if they get qualified and an undercut - there is not a lot of loyalty in this business these days - I cannot say that for all my clients because some are very loyal but some are not. It's just that the person will undercut then go up and then they want you back.
