Actually Margaret Sedy's email of 7/23/05 may have a valid point. The abstractor's resort to legal remedies and resolution by the court is probably the best way to handle the situation. At least there would be some finality to the problem. The abstractor's would be paid, and the defendant will have the opportunity/obligation to explain to the court why payment was not forthcoming in a timely manner.
