Jarrod, some counties here in Georgia use the "Harris" system. I'm not sure exactly how it works but the instruments are scanned and sent to them. Therefore, I can often find deeds, etc. before they are of record, before they are in the official index or are in the online records. I have found it not to be 100% reliable as to running a title but a very resourceful tool. In one county I work in, the Cott has proven to be reliable and will give you info after the official index date. There is a system in the metro area, Fulton & DeKalb-- I don't know the name of it, as I don't go there anymore. But it's very user friendly and you could even put in a bk/pg#, find all the assignments and other related docs. Anyway, the "Harris" has the liens, civil suits, plats also. Nice copies too.
