I and my family are also praying for the everyone in LA & MS.  The devastation is beyond my comprehension.  We in Ohio deal with snow, flooding & tornados, but never anything of this magnitude.  

I was scheduled to visit New Orleans on the weekend of Sept 17th.  Had the ticket bought, the hotel in the French Quarter, the whole tourist "thing".  It all seems so frivolous to me now. 

I know that it will only be a minor drop in the bucket, but I plan to donate what I planned to spend in New Orleans to the Red Cross.  It is the very least that I can do.

So along with our prayers, I would urge everyone to donate whatever they can to the Red Cross or other organization to help this area.  Not only are people homeless, but they will not be able to work & some businesses will never reopen.  They need all of our help, no matter how small & insignificant we may think our contribution is, I assure that the people in that area will not.
