I've used Efax for years.  It enables me to have a local fax number and I can pick up the faxes when I want them without tending to a physical fax machine at my home that used to activate in the middle of the night.  Plus you can look at your faxes and decide whether you want to save or print them.  No more wasted paper and ink.  I heartily recommend the service.  It's actually free if you don't want a local fax number.
