Debbie... we followed your suggestions and were able to get our nephew and the older couple he was caring for out of Baton Rouge and to Houston. Our nephew is on his way to his fathers up in the state of Washington where he hopefully can pull together the pieces of his life. The couple he helped out are on the way to family in the mid west. If it wasn't for your suggestion and the man who got them out of New Orleans in the back of his little toyota pickup I don't know what kind of condition they would be in. The man who drove them out had been driving people out for several hours and was headed back again after he got a little sleep. The only thing he would accept was some gas cans filled with gas and a little food.

My daughter is a teacher and we are doing a specific school supply drive... if you know any schools that need extra supplies... pencils, pens, paper etc. for the extra children they are taking in please have them contact me.
