You're right.  In NC we archive every county to the State Dept.  But just think of all the surveying that will need to be done to actually put the deeds back to dirt.  I loved being in New Orleans.  The city was mapped out so well.  The old and the new blended with each other.  We, of course, did not get out to the other parishes but we saw Lake Pontchartrain when we flew into New Orleans.  Our airport shuttle driver pointed out the Superdome to us.  One thing that is missing is any report about the Garden District.  How did that area do in the hurricane?  Do you know Debbie?
