Well said Debbie. Your situation is worse than any that my area has experienced. Unless you have been in this situation you have no idea exactly what is happening because the media is just feeding you junk so you will watch them. The people that they find to interview are stressed, depressed and in dire straits. If that helps get relief and money to the areas then that works.
The flooding is what hurt eastern NC and the flooding came a day after the hurricane. It is the aftermath that still does the most damage sometimes.
I have often wondered how people will return to an area to find their tract of land after all landmarks are destroyed. The courthouse records not on the computers will be destroyed so how do you prove where your land is. When you get up to that point, please share in the recovery aspect of that.
You will be in my prayers, Debbie. Keep me posted on what is happening because as you said your area is a wake up call and a test for other areas.
