Yes this tragedy is awesome - and I don't want to sound indifferent to the people who are suffering - but what about the animals? You know - the dogs, cats, livestock, horses, etc. that people left behind or stayed with. What will become of them? I have already donated money to the Humane Society to make sure they are out there helping these poor, helpless creatures. The whole situation breaks my heart, but animals are sooooo dependent on the people who take care of them. I already have two dogs and three cats that I have personally rescued over the last five years. I don't think I could take another person in my home at this point, but I would gladly take any wayward animals who need love. And I would never leave without them.
