Hi, Michaela!

Wonder if that would work with my electric company or my cellular provider? LOL.

I haven't received such an inquiry, but when and if I do, I'm going to politely tell them, "Here's the deal: you sign up as our client; you send us work; we do the work; you pay us;  you send us volume, you get a discount.  We don't pay you."

Sounds like a scam to me.  I'll be interested to read the impressions of other SOT members.
