David is like on the other side of Texas near Lubbock - probably 10 hours from the hit.  I was suppose to be hit with tropical storms but because it hit further up Texas coast and Louisiana coast, I missed any kind of heavy rain by probably by just 30 miles east of me (the outskirts of the 200 span of the hurricane) but it was very windy here yesterday.  I had family in the Houston area also though and my cousin tried to get out but ended up being one of those turning around because of traffic and lack of gasoline along the route up through Texas.  She is okay, again because the hit was further up the coast of Texas.
