Actually I have studied Bhuddism also. My teacher was a former Tibetan Zen Bhuddist monk. Bhuddism is an outgrowth of Hinduism. As the religion/philosophy progressed through the centuries different schools of thought developed... Hinayana...Mahayana...Zen Bhuddism (a combination of Bhuddism and Taoism.) It is my understanding that there is no personal god figure of any particular sex. Once you reach enlightenment (Nirvana), the force of Karma no longer requires you to be reincarnated to improve of the defects of a previous life. Your definition of Nirvana and your role in it depend on which school of Bhuddism you follow. It may be a simple snuffing out of existence and final rest without reincarnation. In other schools it may be an absorbtion into some form of collective consciousness.
