Thank you for posting this information. It is always difficult when counties change their recording fees. Those of us who do the filings always hope that the clients are aware of the changes and the checks are for the right amount.
It is also a major problem for our clients... if the rates change after a closing, they sometimes get stuck paying the difference.
There is an excellent resource for calculating recording fees nationwide, eCountySource. I haven't personally used it, because I am not usually the one responsible for cutting recording checks, but from what I have heard about it, it could help with this problem.
Normally, we do not allow commercial posts in this forum. However, since this is such an important issue, I would welcome any feedback from eCountySource, or anyone who has used this unique service.
