I hope that the National Deed Service folks haven't found Vermont yet, it sounds like a great marketing scheme!  Of course, Vermont charges $7 per page for certified documents.   Maybe that's too expensive to make enough profit at $60 per order.

If the company is actually getting the correct deed or deeds in each case--by that I mean actually doing enough research to provide the legal vesting document(s)--then where's the problem? 

We are a marketing society: we expect it, our economy depends upon it, and it's absolutely the name of the game today, whether or not we like to see others with great marketing ideas we don't think up ourselves.  I have often wondered how to market my services to the general public, and here's my answer.
