I've found that most clients prefer that we provide an invoice with each search, so we began the practice of including a small block on the cover page of our search.  It sets forth the price of the search and applicable copy fees, along with any miscellaneous charges, discounts, etc.

As far as sending search results from the field, pricing has never been an issue, since our fee structure is pretty uniform across the board.

The clients seem to appreciate this, as it gives them the option of paying by the job, or waiting until we send them their monthly statement.  Great topic.  Thanks, Wanda and David!

Regards,
Scott Perry
