It may not be my job to make sure that no one breaks into my neighbor's house, but that doesn't mean I should stand idly by and allow it to happen.

Anyone who knows anything about computers will tell you that there is no such thing as a hack-proof system.  No matter what kind of firewall is put in place, the bad guys will find a way around it.  Don't forget, the Titanic was supposedly unsinkable.
