All very good points you raised, Steve.  My main concern, however, is the security issues involved in having those records available on-line, not to mention the liability issues.  If you ask me, there's just too much at stake to be making this data available to anyone with an internet connection.

What's to stop some off-shore "data warehouse" company from accessing that same data and undercutting your price?  I sure as heck wouldn't want some .05¢ an hour clerk doing a search of any property that I have any interest in!!!

While we do sometimes make use of these resources to save time, we never rely on them as our sole source of information.  That's just inviting trouble.
